Open Call: Matéria Viva
Training and Capacity Building Programme in Performing Arts: Practices, Policies and Ecologies of Doing

Matéria Viva is a new programme by Materiais Diversos, developed in partnership with Alkantara (Lisbon) and O Espaço do Tempo (Montemor-o-Novo).
Following all stages of creation and production — from conception to funding, circulation and public presentation — the programme is structured around eight sessions: five online and three in person, taking place in Montemor-o-Novo, Minde/Alcanena and Lisbon.
Designed for emerging performer-creators and cultural agents in contemporary performing arts, the programme proposes a space of care, sharing and critical reflection, offering practical tools to strengthen more sustainable and consistent artistic paths.

Matéria Viva promotes contact with different contexts and working models, strengthening the emerging artistic community and contributing to the construction of a more fair, collaborative and responsible cultural ecosystem. Applications are open until 27 March, and the programme is scheduled to begin on 16 April.
Matéria Viva programme is organised by Materiais Diversos, in partnership with Alkantara and O Espaço do Tempo, with the support of Fundação GDA.
