We should all be dreaming radical, utopian dreams of common futures.
We Should All Be Dreaming is an ongoing project by choreographer Sonya Lindfors and writer and activist Maryan Abdulkarim that focuses on the radical potential of collective dreaming. At the Alkantara Festival, the project takes the form of a performative dinner party.
The evening unfolds over three hours as a series of gentle invitations to dream radical, utopian dreams of collective futures. Around a shared meal, participants are invited to spend time together: discussing, listening, moving, and dreaming.
We Should All Be Dreaming creates a space for a softer form of resistance to the grim realities of the world around us – and one that is well within everyone’s reach.
*This performance includes a vegan dinner and an invitation to speak to others and occasionally move around the space.
