This artistic research is situated within trembling, as proposed by Édouard Glissant: not as instability, but as a relational condition of the world, a state in which identities, forms of knowledge, and territories remain in resonance. Trembling inaugurates an ethics of encounter and a politics of relation, from which body/sound cartography emerges as a situated practice of listening, perception, and knowledge production. Rather than mapping fixed spaces, it attends to the displacements, vibrations, and resonances that traverse bodies, memories, and geographies in constant transformation.

Maria Mercedes Flores Mujica is a Venezuelan dance artist and researcher based in Cologne, Germany. Her inter(un)disciplinary practice challenges cultural hierarchies and explores corporealities from feminist, decolonial and inclusive perspectives, combining Afro-Caribbean dances, folk traditions and contemporary experiments. Her work examines intersections of time, space and memory through movement, rhythm and performative creation, fostering connections between performers, audiences and space.
