matéria leve: lighting designers meeting

- 01.08 — 02.08 2025
This activity will be held in Portuguese
From 28 to 31 July, the collective matéria leve is at Espaço Alkantara for a research residency that continues the work they have been developing collectively on gestures of light: activations of devices with which they explore lighting as relational matter, capable of generating states of attention that make us available for the encounter.
The following weekend, on 1 and 2 August, they are promoting the first meeting among colleagues in the field to share experiences, artistic practices and desires around the profession, reflect on working conditions in the local context and their challenges, create alliances for possible collaborations and strengthen the network.
The Lighting Designer Meeting 2025 is an open activity, subject to registration, aimed at cis women, trans and non-binary people who work professionally as stage lighting designers in Portugal.
